We are all Hindus
Guess what all the West is following us, they say that they are becoming more Hindu, i just came across this article where it is written "We Are All Hindus Now"-headlines the article in the upcoming edition of prestigious news magazine "Newsweek", saying"U.S. Views on God and Life Are Turning Hindu".Written by its religion editor Lisa Miller, it says, "...recent poll data show that conceptually, at least, we are slowly becoming more like Hindus and less like traditional Christians in the ways we think about God, ourselves, each other, and eternity."
Commenting about the Newsweek viewpoint, Rajan Zed said that community was glad that rich philosophical thought of Hinduism was being recognized and accepted widely outside the Hindu circles.
The article quotes a religion professor at Boston University who has long framed the American propensity for "the divine-deli-cafeteria religion" as "very much in the spirit of Hinduism..."
It further says: "So here is another way in which Americans are becoming more Hindu: 24 percent of Americans say they believe in reincarnation, according to a 2008 Harris poll. So agnostic are we about the ultimate fates of our bodies that we're burning them-like Hindus-after death. More than a third of Americans now choose cremation, according to the Cremation Association of North America."
So let us all say "OM."

Are you wearing green today?

Are you wearing green today? An Irish saying holds that "If you're lucky enough to be Irish, then you're lucky enough." On St. Patrick's Day it seems that everyone is Irish.
It seems on St. Patrick's Day is celebrated with parades and fireworks, dances and parties, drinking Irish beer and whiskey and wearing green.

Cannot Bear

They just don't get much cuter than polar bears. The big, fluffy, white bears are covered in hair that is actually not white, but clear, and grows even on the soles of the bears' feet to protect them from the cold and make it easier to run on the ice. Polar bears live mainly in the Arctic regions on drifting ice floes.
Global warming has been deemed responsible for melting the ice that the bears need as a platform for hunting seals, which are their main source of food. Last year the US government listed the bears as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. On this date in 1733, the polar bear was first exhibited in America, in Boston.
Just imagine how it would have been if we were born as animals or any other creature. It is only human beings who can think and express motions in the form of words. The other creations have emotions, though they cannot express them. So we should be indeed grateful to God for giving us this beautiful Life." All Animals are God's creation, treat them with care....

Catch !
The story has it that back in the 1920s Yale students would play catch with metal pie tins from Bridgeport's Frisbie Baking Company. To warn unwary passers-by as a tin was flying through the air, they would yell out, "Frisbieee!" Years later, an adapted version of the flying disc made out of plastic was sold to the Wham-O toy company for $1 million. Wham-O introduced the toy to the public on this date in 1957, and called it the Pluto Platter. A year later, they changed the name to Frisbee. A variety of frisbee-like toys has been spawned, made from different, more flexible materials.Quote: "Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck." — George Carlin

Some time, you can know who is the owner of the car just by peeping inside the cars. Some have their idol of God, and you can guess whether the person is a chain smoker or many things you can know the characteristic of the person just by looking.
These cars try to convey a important and subtle message, that if there is no labels in the car which tells us about the religion of the owner, all cars will look the same. Likewise everyone are same, only labels make the difference....

Human VS Gamer

Human brain is always complicated, still scientist are trying to study them, but cannot find the secret !!!...
But i have my own theory how a Ordinary Human and Gamer brain works, it a theory of a Gamer ;-)
1. When a person tumbles over a banana peal, what a Ordinary Human and Gamer mind thinks or works ?
Ordinary Human - He thinks he should have not stepped in the banana peal
Gamer - He thinks that he should use load option so that he can skip the banana peal
2. When a dog is chasing a person...
Ordinary Human - Off course Runs for his life, never look back ;-)
Gamer - Run for his life and search for a save option when he reach a safe place...
What you think of my theory about Human and Gamer ? If you have any example kindly Play it....Game On

Barbie Doll - A True Friend
Guys wanted their first love look like her,Gals always wanted to be like her, and still...she is the preffered one, She is none other than Babie Doll ;-)
Every girl child true friend is Barbie. No girls childhood will be complete without having her own Barbie. Barbie stand for beauty and elegant.
Yestersay was Barbie 50 b'th day...She may have turned 50,but will look like the sweet little girl for ages to come till we grow old. She will remain the never ageing sweet little. I thought why not continue the celebration today too. So here is a small history how Barbie came into being...
History of Barbie
*************
The Barbie doll was created by Ruth Handler for the Mattel company in 1959. Handler and her husband, Elliot, founded the company with partner Harold "Matt" Matson in 1942. Ruth, inspired by dolls she'd seen on a trip to Europe, and from watching her own daughter, Barbara, created an adult doll for children. Twelve inches high and plastic, "Barbie" and her fashionable and separately-sold clothing were such a hit that Mattel became a publicly owned company in 1960. Over the years new versions of the toy mirrored fashion trends, and Barbie was the center of a universe that included a benign boyfriend (Ken), occasional siblings (Skipper, Todd, Stacie, et al), pets (too many to name, including dogs, horses, cats and a parrot), cars, boats, planes and houses. Barbie versions included scientists, disco dancers, fashion models, astronauts, rock stars and lifeguards. By the 1980s the doll's force as a collectible was such that Mattel began making versions of Barbie specifically for the collectors' market. Critics of the doll say it presents an unrealistic body image for girls. Fans say Barbie encourages young girls -- and boys -- by giving them aspirations to be scientists, disco dancers, fashion models, astronauts, rock stars or lifeguards. Despite the ongoing debate over Barbie's impact on American culture, the doll remains one of the best-selling and best-known dolls on the market. The Ken doll is named after Ruth and Elliot Handlers other child, their son. Ken.

Coffee Anyone ???
How do you take yours? The coffee percolator was patented on this date in 1865. The documented history of coffee begins circa 1000 in Arabia, where roasted beans were first brewed. In 1615, a Venetian merchant brought coffee beans to Europe and a year later a Dutch trader brought a coffee plant. In 1696, the Dutch founded the first European-owned coffee estate, on colonial Java. About 30 years later, Brazilian Lt. Col. Francisco de Melo Palheta spirited some seedlings away from French Guiana and within several decades, Brazil was one of the world's greatest coffee empires.A Coffee Maker circa 1850 is displayed at the British Library on August 14, 2008 in London, England. Over 50ingenious inventions and gadgets have gone on display at the British Library

Falling in a deaf ear

Yesterday i went to see a very beautiful film called High School Musical 3: Senior Year...The story was about a boy named Troy who want to pursue his career on Basket ball and Drama...
The film teaches you to follow your heart to achieve your goal...This movie is the last of it's trilogy...The movie is musical and had great song and dance sequence. I have no idea, from where a huge groups came from, they had no idea what is a Musical is, whenever a song starts they used to shout Booo in the theater. This made me angry and really repented of seeing this movie in the theater....They really destroyed my movie watching experience.
Now i understand why there is no Musical movies in Indian films. Cos people are soo deaf to enjoy it.. It is like those lyrics are falling in a deaf ear..

History of Computer

Altair 8800
The computer age reached a milestone when the Altair 8800 — a precursor to the PC — became available on this date in 1974, allowing anyone to build a computer at home. The microcomputer kit was originally intended to be sold to hobbyists, but it was an instant hit, and in 1990 the computer went on display at the Smithsonian Institution's Museum of History and Technology in Washington, DC. The microcomputer was designed by Ed Roberts, who had been producing calculator kits for hobbyists. Altair BASIC, the interpreter for the programming language that ran the 8800 was the brainchild and first product of Bill Gates' and Paul Allen's new company, Micro-Soft.
Quote: "Buying the right computer and getting it to work properly is no more complicated than building a nuclear reactor from wristwatch parts in a darkened room using only your teeth." — Dave Barry

What will happend when....

What happen when there is no kids in a kid program? The govt have targeted the most famous program which has Kids as center character. Can you imagine without Anandhi in Balika Vadhu or without lill cute baby Krishna in Jai Shree Krishna.
Now the Indian govt is going to pull all the show like Balika, Booggi woghi and rest of the programs. It is good that govt is taking a step in Child labor. But i feel they should also concentrate in the kids who work as servants or in some factory. It seems Govt says that some channel are not following the rules that a kid can only work for 4 hrs and some channel makes them to work more than 10 hrs.
Will the channel change their kid star's working time? I feel that these program should have a limited time like they have in the West. One program have only 10 to 20 episode and then let the next season starts. So the kids can act in their holidays and they won't have to miss their studies...There is one problem when a kids are star, they tend to loose their innocence....I guess the channel should make it a point that their innocence are preserved...
What say....Have any answers? Reply is must!

The cop who knew no fear
Thanks to Asi Tukaram Omble, at least one terrorist was captured alive
The two terrorists were armed with kalashnikov assault rifles and hand grenades; he carried just a walkie-talkie. there was no way assistant sub-inspector (asi) tukaram omble, 48, could have survived the encounter. But before dying, he ensured that at least one of the 26/11 a terrorist was caught alive.
Omble was asked by his senior to take up position on marine drive on Wednesday night, after the news of firings at Leopold café, oberoi and taj hotels came in. around 12.45 am, he got an alert on his walkie-talkie that two terrorists had hijacked a skoda car and were heading for girgaum chowpatty. Just minutes later, the skoda whizzed past him.
Omble jumped on to his two-wheeler and chased the car. A team from db marg police station was setting up a naka bandi at the chowpatty signal. As the car approached the signal, the terrorists opened fire on the cops, but were forced to reduce speed because of the barricades.
Omble overtook the skoda and stopped in front of it, forcing the driver of the car to swerve right and hit the divider. With the terrorists momentarily distracted, omble sprang toward one of them, amir kasab, and gripped the barrel of the ak47 rifle with both hands. With the barrel pointing towards omble, amir pulled the trigger. A spray of bullets entered his stomach and intestine. Omble collapsed, but held on to the gun till he breathed his last, stopping amir from shooting anyone else.
The other cops, who by that time had killed the other terrorist, ismail, pounced on amir and captured him. The investigation agencies were reported to have gathered a lot of information from the sole terrorist captured.
Omble is survived by his wife and four daughters. He is a real hero. Let's salute him.

By laughing at me - Sad Clown
Clowns have been around since the earliest civilizations. Their forerunners, court jesters, were documented to have entertained the courts in ancient Egypt, and were especially popular in the Middle Ages. Circus clowns came into being in the early 1800s, with Joseph Grimaldi the most famous of the early clowns. During the Great Depression the hobo clown became popular. Emmett Kelly, born on this date in 1898, was renowned for his sad clown persona, “Weary Willie.”
Quote: “By laughing at me, the audience really laughs at themselves, and realizing they have done this gives them sort of a spiritual second wind for going back into the battles of life.” Emmett Kelly
Ask them to Shut Up

The media should allow the countries to talk to each other. The media's duty to show the proof not interrogate Pak as some kind of criminals and they should start concentrating in their work alone and leave the rest for our Indian politician....
What say...Comment away.....

Friend Or Foe
The bridge between us was becoming thin when thier celebrity were coming here and ours entertaining them. But this all has changed post the blast. Now the bridge is broken. Now there will be only separation and hatred among us. Who is responsible ?
The people of Pak or the politician behind it.
I feel we are all same but the venom which is been inserted by Pak politician is not. I saw one contestant from Pak in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in Zee Tv asked the judge not to have elimination. He did not know that he won't be able to perform after the blast.
Even there was a blast in blast in Peshawar yesterday....Who is responsible for the blast? Will Pak govt answer it. May be we have the same enemy, it is right time for all the country to become One then only we will be able to fight the Terrorism once for the last...

Advance Happy Independence Day
Just a thought, when i saw our self pledging against terrorism and signing the petition to Prime Minister. Seeing whole Mumbai with candles and their silent protest, reminded me about our the war for Independence.
In those days people use to go from one door to another to ask people to join their protest in order to make the British leave our country. Even some people staged a street drama to awake spirit in people. I see the same thing happening here as we are fighting with our own politician and also terrorist who came and fired everywhere like they are trying to take over our country like the British....
Just imagine if Bhagat Singh and Mahatma Gandhiji was in Net age like us, they will also be emailing people like we are doin. May be the people in that time would have signed the Petition like us to Jawaharlal Nehru. Or even go for silent protest caring a candle.
Friends, Fighting terrorism is no less than fighting for Independence. Again we are trying to make the Evil leave our country...May be the people like us will be expressing their anger through their blogs/post. I hope we will find more Bhagat Singh and Mahatma Gandhiji, who will succeed in driving the Terrorist from our country soon. Hope we will get freedom from Terror. So, i wish everyone a Happy Independence in Advance....
I hope here onwards everyone will think like an Indian, forget caste and community or state. We are One. Then only we can fight this Terror....
Never Forget Nor Forgive !!!
Inqulab Zindabad, Vande Matharam, Jai Hind....
